Lakshmi (Croching Business)

Laksmi borrowed 5000 rupees in November to start her croching business. She buys used rice sacks and sews them together to make a waterproof lining used on top of houses and building. Local villagers buy these large style waterprooofed bags to put over heir houses (which are often made from wood and bamboo). So these bags provide a useful respite from the Monsoon rains. It also proves to be a good use for empty rice sacks.
